What We Do

Commercial Construction

Commercial construction is the primary focus of O’Neill of Clonoe, with extensive experience in delivering large-scale industrial and commercial building projects throughout Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

A significant proportion of our work involves the construction of portal-frame steel buildings, including factories, warehouses, showrooms and commercial premises. We provide a complete, carefully coordinated service covering structural construction, roofing and cladding, groundworks, concrete works, internal building works, drainage, external surfacing, fencing and associated site infrastructure.

Our experienced team understands the importance of programme management, site safety, quality workmanship and minimising disruption to ongoing business operations. From initial site preparation through to final completion, every stage is managed professionally to ensure the project meets the client’s practical, operational and budgetary requirements.

Recent commercial projects include new vehicle showrooms for Donnelly Group, a factory extension for Terex in Ballymoney and a new factory extension for McCloskey International. These projects demonstrate our ability to successfully deliver substantial commercial and industrial developments for established businesses across Northern Ireland.

What We Do

Education, Council & Community Projects

For five decades, O’Neill of Clonoe has worked alongside education bodies, local councils and community organisations throughout Northern Ireland, delivering dependable construction services within public buildings and community facilities.

Our experience includes new-build construction, extensions, alterations, refurbishments and complete renovations. Many of these projects are carried out within live and occupied environments, requiring careful planning, effective communication and close coordination with clients, staff, building users and other stakeholders.

We understand the importance of maintaining safe access, controlling noise and dust, and keeping disruption to an absolute minimum. Our practical, hands-on approach allows us to complete essential work while schools, public facilities and community organisations continue to operate wherever possible.

A recent example is the Connecting Pomeroy project for Mid Ulster District Council. This significant community development included the construction of a new recreational building for Pomeroy GAC and a new community building for the Church of Ireland. The project reflects our ability to deliver high-quality council and community construction projects that provide lasting value for local people.
